Wake Her Up: Loving Me Through the Hustle

For the woman balancing a nine-to-five, teenagers, a marriage, sports schedules, family storms, and a dream

You Are Not Behind

Sacred Star Being, this is your reminder. You are not behind. You are not failing. You are becoming visible to yourself again. Today we are waking up the woman inside, the one who has carried it all and is still here.

What They Don’t See

People see the posts. They do not see the late nights, the school forms, the bank calls, the doctor visits, the meals, the laundry, the last-minute practice changes, the meetings, the tears you wipe with the same hands you use to type your dreams. Entrepreneurship on top of life is not tidy. It is holy work and heavy work. And yet you show up.

There are seasons when the win is a launch. There are seasons when the win is recording a single podcast episode, finishing one lesson, or writing one paragraph between pickups. Both are evidence that you are consistent. Both are evidence that you chose yourself.

From Borrowed Bedroom to Belonging in My Life

loving me

There was a time I sat in pain and called it home. I tolerated what hurt because I did not yet know how to choose me. I remember the borrowed bedroom season. My husband and our kids all squeezed into someone else’s space. I felt empty even with the vision boards taped to the wall. That woman felt small. She was not small. She was scared and still moving.

Years later, I look around my home and realize I did not “find” love for myself. I practiced it. I practiced it in therapy, in boundaries, in quiet mornings, in applying for the job that offered more freedom, in holding my worth through hard conversations, and in learning how to receive. I practiced it when I chose to turn pain into power instead of proof that I was unworthy.

There’s a song I’ve been replaying lately, and the words stopped me in my tracks:

Janine Loving me

“It’s easier to say when I’m acting like I’m talking to somebody else… it’s easier to say when I’m acting like I’m talking to somebody else… but this time this is for myself. I’m loving me… I’m loving me… I’m loving me… I’m loving me. I didn’t give it all just to get nothing. Imma take this pain and turn it into something. I’m loving me.”

That line doesn’t drag me back. It lifts me forward. Because I can say with a steady voice now: I am loving me.

Proof You Are Not Too Late

Sometimes we need a mirror outside our house. Consider Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Football dream gone. Seven dollars left. He remapped his story and built a life from that rock bottom. Or Taraji P. Henson. She moved to Los Angeles as a single mother, years before the world called her a star. They were not late. They were in process.

You are not late. You are in process.

Why Celebration Matters

Celebration is not fluff. It is nervous system strategy. When you acknowledge a win, your brain marks that pathway as meaningful. Dopamine meets discipline. Your body learns that effort and safety can coexist. Your mind stops waiting for a crisis to feel alive. The work still matters, and so does the way you witness yourself doing it.

So celebrate recording the episode. Celebrate finishing the lesson. Celebrate showing up to your child’s game and still uploading the post later that night. Every witness you offer yourself becomes a brick in a sturdier identity.

A Five-Minute Reset Ritual

When life stacks up, try this simple reset. No perfection required.

1.      Breathe. Inhale for four. Hold for four. Exhale for six. Repeat five times.

2.      Name it. Whisper, “I am safe. I am capable. I am loved.”

3.      Release. Shake your hands and roll your shoulders. Let your jaw unclench.

4.      Refocus. Write one needle-moving task. Only one. Do it for ten minutes.

5.      Receive. Place a hand on your heart. Say, “Thank you, Future Me, for making space for this.”

My Sacred Rhythm

One rhythm I return to again and again is my S.A.C.R. Method. It reminds me to see the truth, align with love, clear what drains me, and reaffirm what I’m calling in. I don’t always run through it perfectly, but it’s how I keep my balance when life pulls in every direction. It’s my way of making sure I’m not just working hard I’m working sacred.

Questions to Wake Her Up

Questions

·         Where did I show up for myself this week, even in small ways.

·         What fear am I ready to retire because it no longer matches the woman I am becoming.

·         What story from my past is ready to be retold with me as the main character, not the victim.

·         What does loving me look like in the next twenty-four hours. List three specifics.

·         If I believed I was right on time, how would I move today.

  Rest Is Not a Reward

Rest is not a prize you unlock when the to-do list taps out. Rest is a decision that makes your work potent. Your future does not need an exhausted version of you. It needs a nourished, resourced, self-respecting you. Ten minutes of stillness can save you two hours of busywork.

Imagine Your Next Win

Close your eyes and imagine your next small win. Not the viral post or the six-figure month. The next real win. The draft saved. The email sent. The call made. See it. Feel it. Smile at it. Now open your eyes and take that step.
